First of all, you should get a proper diagnosis to see if what you have going on is bacterial or fungal in origin. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by bacteria and a "yeast infection" is caused by an overgrowth of candida.

You will not get much relief from the homeopathic pills, unfortunately. You can put two to three drops of tea tree oil into a teaspoon of olive oil or almond oil or put two drops of tea tree oil onto a tampon instead. Tea tree oil is very effective and should help you start feeling better quickly. You can also take probiotic capsules with acidopholus – one capsule three times a day.

Probiotics are great for combating yeast, but cannot be taken around the same time as an antibiotic or the antibiotic will be ineffective.

I have suffered with cystic acne since I was 12 (I’m 33 now) and the only thing that worked for me was Accutane. I’m allergic to minocycline. The Accutane cleared my acne in 2 weeks and I was acne-free for many years following my 4 month course of treatment. Now at 33 I still get occasional break-outs, usually related to stress or poor diet.

I hear the best cure is putting plain yogurt down there because of the bacteria it contains. When I get yeast infections I eat yogurt, drink cranberry juice and take AZO

Unfortunately, Monistat gets rid of the yeast infection for now but you will have to deal with what caused it in the first place or it will come back. Take out all of the sugar from your diet and anything with yeast in it. I don’t know if you know of a condition known as Candida but that is what you probably have. Oh and try and eat lots of plain yogurt – yeah I know it’s yuck!

Homeopathy is based on the idea of curing illnesses etc. by taking what you are actually trying to cure ( a bit like the way vaccines work ). What you need to take is a probiotic with acidophilus and similar organisms. They are brilliant at preventing yeast infections if you are on antibiotics.
I don’t know how effective homeopatic remedies are for yeast infections. I know they can be quite effective for some problems but it always sounds weird to me the way they are supposed to work.

Well, yes and no.
Yes, it’s okay to take the antibiotic and probiotic together *IF* you take them as far apart as possible (at least a few hours), otherwise the antibiotic will almost completely kill the probiotic before it can work.

The problem lies in the fact that if you are already so deficient on probiotics that you are growing Candida, you really need to lay off the antibiotics and take the probiotics intensively at least until it clears up, then you could start up on the antibiotics again.
However, as the other answerer pointed out, antibiotics are very harmful when taken long-term (I’ve heard of people dying from it and many getting serious medical complications from it), so your best bet long-term would be to find an alternative (natural would typically be your safest bet for long term use) to help with the acne.

The one day treatments still take 7 days to fully work.
If you’re not feeling better in a few days you might want to make an appointment with your doctor, don’t treat yourself again.
If your period is due shortly though I’d wait on the doctors appointment, sometimes menstruation can clear up a mild infection.

Some homeopathic remedies contain trace amounts of whatever agent is causing the condition. The materials are diluted in such a way that the body can recognize and defend against it to encourage immunity, kind of like a vaccine.

Homeopathic remedies rarely have negative side effects, and some people swear by them, so I would say give it a try. If you are not against taking other medications, there are a ton of things you can buy at the drugstore for a yeast infection but a doctor could best diagnose and recommend something to help treat it.

I understand your heartbrake over the acne. But you are totally messing with your system by continually taking those antibiotics! You can do permanent damage. The best pro-biotic I have found is Primal Defense. You can find it at Whole Foods Market.
