More than 70% of all women will have a yeast infection at some point in their lives. The statistics is not clear for men, babies and elderly people but they can also get a yeast infection. Yeast infection is a very annoying and disturbing disease and this article will provide you with some home remedies that you can use now to cure your symptoms.
Home Remedy #1- The use of Tea Tree Oil. This is a very popular home based treatment. You simple apply some tea tree oil to a tampon that is already soaked in olive oil and insert it into the vagina for about 30 – 45 minutes. The purpose of the olive oil is to prevent the tea tree oil from being absorbed into the tampon but rather get distributed to the inner walls of the vagina. Using this method twice a day will result in a more speedy recovery, however once per day will still do the job.
Home Remedy #2- The use of garlic. Garlic has some anti-fungal properties and this will reduce the build up of candida. All you need to do is to peel off a clove, cut it in half and then wrap it in a piece of cheesecloth or gauze and inserted all the way up to the cervix in your vagina. You can leave it for at least 30 minutes but for better results, it would be best to leave it overnight.
Home Remedy #3- Another popular home remedy for yeast infection, is the use of yogurt. Yogurt is made from a composite of bacteria and these bacteria produces a substance that is inhibitory to candida. This means that the more of these bacteria you introduce the more and quicker you will get rid of your yeast infection. Just dip a tampon in some sugar free yogurt and insert it into the vagina. Doing this for about a week will result in a big difference.
These are just a few simple but effective home remedies for yeast infection.

Simple home remedy for yeast infection in dogs ear?
My dog has had 3 ear yeast infections in 2 years. The first time she had it we took her to the vet and payed 80 bucks for drops. She didn’t like those so much. >.> The second time she got an infection it lasted several months before going away on it’s own. Now she has another one and I can’t afford to take her to the vet again. Is there some simple home remedy that I could possibly spray in her ears? I’ve heard about using alcohol and vinager(sp?) but I don’t know what the exact measurments are. >.< I’d rather it be something I could spray in her ears since she dosen’t like people messing with them too much.

I’ve heard some people say vinegar. My mother-in-law’s Westie had constant yeast infections in her ears, and someone told her to use Monostat (not a joke). She hasn’t had a problem since (2 yrs)

I truly believe I have tried every product/home remedy on one of my dogs who suffered from yeast infections in her ears. None worked. What did work was changing her diet. Look for a grain-free food, or one without corn, wheat, and rice. Wellness Super 5 Mix, (formerly fish & sweet potato,) is what I use for her, and she never has yeast infections any more. (Except when she breaks into the chicken/cat/guinea pig/rat/human food
Good luck.

Monistat. We used it for years on our labs who were very prone to getting yeast infections in their ears. Also, after you get the infection gone you can wash the ears out weekly with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 1 part rubbing alcohol to keep them away.
